We race every Wednesday evening mid-April to October and every Sunday April to December. On Sundays we help people with less experience to get comfortable before joining in on Wednesday evenings when there are more boats out and the competition hots up.

At PEYC we have a scheme to help new crew to develop and find yachts to sail on and to help new boats and others to find crew when they are short. We call the service Mix and Match (M&M). For 2023, the service for crew is much the same as last year. For skippers we have simplified it. If you have any questions about mix and match just email peyc.racing@gmail.com and if possible also give us a mobile phone number so we can call you.

New crew to PEYC racing or your usual boat isn’t sailing …

If you are new to sailing then see our guidance on how to get more sailing experience. For crew with some sailing experience but new to racing we encourage people to go out with the 707 club in the first instance and then seek guidance from your mentors on the appropriate time to try racing.

If you have experience racing or have been on the 707 club and want to join our yacht racing then Sunday is the best day to start. Just complete a Sunday Crew Diary Update form letting us know when you want to come out and we will try and allocate a yacht for you to sail on.

For more experienced racers we operate a Wednesday mix and match service as well. Just complete a Wednesday Crew Available form and we will match you up with yachts looking for crew. Allocations will be confirmed in email to crew and skippers on Tuesday or Saturday evening. Provisional and Final allocations will be available on the Mix and Match Dashboard and Sunday Dashboard

Skippers with crew spaces … we want to get as many boats out racing as possible as this gives everyone the best experience. Skippers and boats that need more crew or would be happy to take some new crew just email peyc.racing@gmail.com or complete a Wednesday Entry form. Allocations will be confirmed in email to crew and skippers on Saturday and Tuesday evenings. Provisional and Final allocations will be available on the Mix and Match Dashboard
